In a Twitter video, Derek Sloan is shown at an Alberta rally speaking about a “movement” that he can’t say much about — including “the name” of it.
“It’s going to start burning here and it’s going to spread and it’s going to be the greatest patriotic movement Canada has ever seen.”
“He doesn’t genuinely believe in any of the things he claims, be it feminism, climate change, democratic reform, or this. He is an empty vessel,” said McKenna’s husband, Scott Gilmore.
“Regardless of what O’Toole and the CPC decide to do, they must do it with great caution. They must be careful as not alienate the supporters of candidates like Sloan and Lewis, for if they do, we could see a repeat of 2019 election all over again — and that is not a result Canada can afford,” writes Diverge Columnist, Greg Staley.
