OKLAHOMA CITY – Joe Exotic’s name was the one name that didn’t make Trump’s pardon list before the end of his term.
Last night, ‘Tiger King’ Joe Exotic’s team was so confident that Exotic would receive a pardon that they had a limousine on standby, aswell as hair and wardrobe team ready to go for 14 hours to pick up Exotic – a former Zookeeper made famous from the Netflix Original documentary “Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness,” who is serving a 22-year sentence at a federal prison in Texas.
Can we talk about how funny it is that Joe Exotic’s team rented a limo for him to drive away in on expectations of a pardon that didn’t manifest? pic.twitter.com/XQ1wp6MObu

This is the limo standing by to pick up Joe Maldonado-Passage aka “Tiger King” and “Joe Exotic” from federal prison in Fort Worth if he gets pardoned by President Trump. https://t.co/OooOsNtveD pic.twitter.com/9cJfeEOh4e

Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, was sentenced to 22 years in federal prison for violating federal wildlife laws and his part in a murder-for-hire plot targeting his arch-enemy, Carole Baskin — which failed.

Baskin runs a rescue sanctuary for large cats in Florida.
She told BuzzFeed News, she was thankful that Trump decided against a pardon.
“I think only Joe’s team and the media were ever even thinking about a pardon for Joe,” she said.
He was also sentenced for killing five tigers, selling tiger cubs and falsifying wildlife records. He was convicted by a jury in April 2019.
Maldonado-Passage’s pardon application argued that he was “railroaded and betrayed” by others. He is currently 57-years-old and is scheduled to be released from prison in 2037 — but as his pardon application stated, “he will likely die in prison” due to health problems.
According to his official Twitter account, Exotic says Trump’s “corrupt friends come first” and that he “was too innocent and GAY to deserve a pardon.”
I was too innocent and too GAY to deserve a Pardon from Trump. I only mattered to Don Jr. when he needed to make a comment about me to boost his social media post. Boy were we all stupid to believe he actually stood for Equal Justice? His corrupt friends all come first. pic.twitter.com/ysGfwnqlHi

On Wednesday, Trump’s White House released a list of 143 people who received presidential clemency, including former Trump campaign chairman Steve Bannon, rappers Lil Wayne and Kodak Black.
Instead of pardoning a hero like Edward Snowden or Joe Exotic, President Trump’s last act as President was to pardon Steve Bannon, who was being prosecuted for literally scamming Trump supporters. He also pardoned Lil Wayne and Kodak Black. Nobody knows why.
