Dr. Charles Hoffe is a small-town doctor who runs his own practice in the small town of Lytton in British Columbia called the “Lytton Medical Clinic”. Recently, the doctor has begun making waves for his open letter to doctor Bonnie Henry – British Columbia’s Chief Medical Officer of Health.
In the doctors’ open letter – which can be read here he says “the first dose of the Moderna vaccine has now been administered to some of my patients in the community of Lytton, BC. This began with the First Nations members of our community in mid-January, 2021. 900 doses have now been administered. I have been quite alarmed at the high rate of serious side-effects from this novel treatment.”
Now keep in mind, this is a frontline physician with his own practice who has been seeing these cases first hand – so we shouldn’t just diminish what he says because the information is counter to what our Government officials have been telling us.
The doctor continued his open letter:
“From this relatively small number of people vaccinated so far we have had “numerous allergic reactions, with two cases of anaphylaxis.” He says in the letter that one vaccine-induced sudden death (presumed) in a 72-year-old patient with COPD. This patient “complained of being more short of breath continually after receiving the vaccine, and died very suddenly and unexpectedly on day 24, after the vaccine.” The doctor goes on to say the patient had no history of cardiovascular disease.
The doctor didn’t stop there
The doctor continued listing the issues he had witnessed in his small community of Lytton B.C. He went on to say that three people had ongoing and disabling neurological deficits with associated chronic pain that persisted more than 10 weeks after their first dose of the Moderna vaccine.
The neurological deficits included “continual and disabling dizziness and generalized or localized neuromuscular weakness with or without sensory loss.”
The doctor finished listing his experiences of first-hand accounts of side effects from individuals who had taken the Moderna vaccine and laid out his thinking even further for the Chief Medical Officer of B.C.
“So in short, in our small community of Lytton, BC, we have one person dead, and three people who look as though they will be permanently disabled, following their first dose of the Moderna vaccine. The age of those affected ranges from 38 to 82 years of age.” Lytton had a census population of just 249 in 2016 according to Stats Canada to put the community size in perspective.
So with such a small community – seeing 6 patients with adverse events related possibly to an interim approved vaccine is extremely concerning.
Hoffe asks Dr. Henry some questions in regards to his findings
Dr. Hoffe says to Dr. Henry in the letter that “In Lytton, BC, we have an incidence of 1 in 225 of severe life-altering side-effects, from this experimental gene modification therapy.” He asked if it was “considered normal and acceptable long-term side-effects for gene modification therapy” and continued by saying that “Judging by medical reports from around the world, our Lytton experience is not unusual.”
He then lambasted the Chief Medical Officer of B.C asking her bluntly in his letter “Do you have any suggestions as to how I should treat the vaccine-induced neuromuscular weakness, the dizziness, the sensory loss, and the chronic pain syndromes in these people, or should they all be simply referred to a neurologist?” He concluded his thought by saying that he anticipated that “many more will follow as the vaccine is rolled out” – noting that this was only phase one and the first dose.
Dr. Hoffe also told Dr. Henry that in his limited experience in Lytton, that this “vaccine is quite clearly more dangerous than Covid-19.” The doctor continued to emphasize that these were healthy people before their treatment of the interim order approved Moderna vaccine.

Dr. Hoffe also expressed concern that the second shot of Moderna would have worse outcomes than the first:
“Furthermore, it is well known that the side effects following the second shot, are significantly worse than the first. So the worst is still to come.”
- Hoffe didn’t mince words
In his letter to Dr. Henry, Dr. Charles Hoffe told the medical officer for B.C that “it is normally considered a fundamental principle of medical ethics, to discontinue a clinical trial if significant harm is demonstrated from the treatment under investigation.” It appeared he was hinting that the continued use of the Moderna vaccine in light of this knowledge would break the fundamental principals of medical ethics – as harm has been demonstrated from the treatment according to the doctor.
He didn’t stop there:
The doctor continued “Furthermore I have noticed, that the provincial vaccine injury reporting form, which was clearly designed for conventional vaccines, does not even have any place to report vaccine injuries of the nature and severity that we are seeing from this new mRNA therapy.”
