China would admire Trudeau’s new “hate speech” legislation

Trudeau once said he admired China’s basic dictatorship and with the introduction of Trudeau’s “Online Harms Act”, I’m sure China is blushing at the blackface Prime Minister’s tyrannical bend.

If passed, the Online Harms Act (Bill C-63) could see Canadians jailed for life for stating facts like men are men and women are women and how they choose to identify doesn’t change their biological makeup.

You may also be convicted of “hate speech” if you were to make a statement about too much immigration creating problems in the housing and labour markets – that is if the government decides that a statement like that meets their proposed definition of hatred. Perhaps they would deem that hatred motivated by national or ethnic origin.

You see under the proposed legislation it says that “everyone commits an offence” if they communicate “hate speech by means of the internet or any other means of telecommunication” in a context that is “likely to foment detestation or vilification of any individual or group of individuals” included in the bill.

So if the government decides that you had hatred in your heart when you made an online post in a context that is likely to cause others to be detested or vilified then you could see life imprisonment for your thought crime.

That means articles like these could soon be classified as hate speech if the legislation passes and the newly government-appointed “Digital Safety” divisions say so.

I’ll leave you with this. If the Conservatives don’t clearly and pointedly condemn this it will speak volumes about the lack of quality political choices in Canada.

Free speech is the cornerstone of any democracy and leaving it in the hands of a government-appointed office is a major leap to demolishing any precept of free speech.

We already have hate speech laws in Canada – why are the liberals so keen on being able to imprison people for life for wrong think?
