On June 17th, 2021, Derek Sloan, the independent MP from Hasting-Lennox and Addington held a press conference to raise concerns about the censorship taking place within the scientific and medical communities in Canada. Mr. Sloan began, “those of you watching this today may not be aware that several weeks ago I issued a call for whistleblowers to our medical and scientific communities across this country. Doctors, nurses, medical scientists and other experts have indeed reached out to me through various channels to tell me their stories.”

No Election During Pandemic! Opposition motion to ensure no election called during pandemic adopted by MPs 327-1
A motion calling it irresponsible for the government to call for an election during the pandemic has been adopted by MPs last week by a vote of 327-1 with 9 MPs not voting on the motion.

“We have never been in a situation before where the government has on a broad scale mandated that businesses must close. It is crazy and you know one of the questions I received this morning was “well isn’t this dangerous?” Frankly, go to a local Costco – you’ll see more people in there than there are here. The rules make no sense. We’ve had enough months to see the results of these rules, they don’t make sense. Keeping the healthy at home helps nobody. This is an absolute disgrace.”
