6,000 to 8,000 people marched the streets of Toronto, Ont., on Saturday, May 15, 2021, demanding an end to lockdowns and other COVID restrictions.
On Thursday, Federal MP Derek Sloan (Hastings-Lennox & Addington) and Ontario MP Randy Hillier have, in collaboration, each demanded: “that their respective levels of government convene a ‘Royal Commission of Inquiry’ into the decision-making process surrounding vaccines, lockdowns and all other COVID-related restrictions.”
Last summer when Nurse Practitioner Kristal Pitter from Tillsonburg, Ont., began to speak out against harmful measures that were being implemented in response to COVID, she began to be defamed by various media outlets calling her things like a ‘conspiracy theorist’.
At a ‘No More Lockdowns’ event on Saturday, Derek Sloan, MP for Hastings-Lennox & Addington spoke on current politicians and their actions during the lockdowns.
In November, he was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called
‘Ankylosing spondylitis.’ For Cook, it has caused his neck to permanently fuse and it means he has next to no motion in his neck. He has also had his thyroid cancer screening cancelled due to COVID.
“We have never been in a situation before where the government has on a broad scale mandated that businesses must close. It is crazy and you know one of the questions I received this morning was “well isn’t this dangerous?” Frankly, go to a local Costco – you’ll see more people in there than there are here. The rules make no sense. We’ve had enough months to see the results of these rules, they don’t make sense. Keeping the healthy at home helps nobody. This is an absolute disgrace.”
Peterborough police charged Hillier today with a fine which he calls a “worthless ticket,” that he would use as wallpaper for his house.
Police attempted to arrange to give Hillier a ticket in advance or even after the event so it would make it easier for them — Hillier refused.
A ‘freedom rally’ at Meridian Place in Barrie, Ont. on Saturday drew a crowd of over 500 people including People’s Party of Canada leader Maxime Bernier.
A large gathering of lockdown protesters gathered in Simcoe, Ontario on April 10, 2021, to have their voices heard that lockdowns are not the answer and do not work. Ontario MPP Randy Hillier was one of the keynote speakers of the day.
In the survey, they ask if the survey taker would support the suspension of civil rights and freedoms for the duration of the pandemic. That’s right whoever commissioned this poll wants to know if you support the draconian overreach of the government.
