According to Stats Canada, nearly 15% of Canadian businesses (14.7%) are planning on shrinking their office spaces as the practice of teleworking (working from home) has become more common during the COVID era.
A “disproportionate share” of COVID deaths were seniors 65 years and older and a majority of deaths between 2020 and 2021 consisted of elderly individuals above the age of 85 who had a variety of health issues.
All stats were pulled from Stats Canada. In this article we will present the total number of deaths for the months of January to April and the months of September to December. We also calculate the percentage based on the total population of Canada within that given year.
