Ontario government to Invest $4.9 Billion over 4 years to Hire 27,000+ LTC Staff
Premier Ford’s government announced that Ontario is redeveloping and expanding Water’s Edge Care Community, a long-term care home in North Bay. It is expected to house 160 long-term care residents. Premier Ford then took the opportunity to announce that his government will be investing $4.9 billion over 4 years into long-term care.
Ontario returning 27 public health regions to new COVID response framework
The Ontario government is transitioning twenty-seven public health regions out of the shutdown and into a revised and strengthened COVID-19 Response Framework. The remaining four regions will remain in the shutdown with a stay-at-home order.

The federal government is looking for people to build quarantine facilities across the country. The buy and sell government ad states the following;
“The Government of Canada is considering engaging a third party service provider for federal quarantine/isolation sites that will be used to house and care for people for public health and other related federal requirements associated with the COVID-19 pandemic response.”

The Canadian governments interim order – foreign vaccines to be tested in Canada?
“I have concerns — the Government of Canada has quietly allowed something that on its face is benign, but in reality is anything but. They have granted the ability for foreign regulators to be able to export their COVID drugs and vaccines into Canada for phase two and three trial testing on Canadians. Phase two and three trials can contain anywhere from a couple hundred, to three thousand people,” Greg Staley writes.
